If music be the food of love... Empty If music be the food of love...

Shadow Tongue sat in the grass of Fremont Park blowing away at his harmonica. His music filled with the collective experience of his journey across North America; from the peach orchards of Georgia, to the canyon walls along the Rio Grande. He lamented the departure of his mentor and the loss of his normalcy. He played in memory of the broken spirit lands he passed through and he composed a dirge for Father Wolf. He played and played until tears filled his eyes and a howl caught in his throat. And then he played a simple tune for Mother Luna who smiled down on him like he was her favored son.

The Moon was high, Shadow Tongue heard the distant Howls of the People. He waited for a moment to listen to their chorus. He fingered his harmonica in silence deep in thought. Should he stay here longer then a few days. what if he never left? when his mood became to dower he played a response. The music wouldn’t reach farther then the park. But his human voice would only mock the performance being played. At least the harmonicasounded a better.

Eventually Shadow Tongue fell asleep. His few possessions were tied up in a satchel and used as a pillow. His last thoughts were of how bright and beautiful Luna was tonight.
