There are three flowers in a vase

He wasn't sure why he had kept the flowers. He'd remembered Vegas' comment of sympathy and realised that the flowers would have sympathy with Wallflower. Even with this knowledge, he still kept them in the plastic pitcher. His healing spell had allowed some of the plants to begin root systems. Others had still died but the water in the makeshift vase now had plenty of tendrils running through it. If he could get a pot, Theo was pretty sure the flora would survive indefinitely.
Maybe it was some kind of revenge against Tyria, a kind of proof he could manage something. He knew it was stupid, he knew it was dangerous, and he knew it wasn't really proving anything. The flowers stayed though.
Every day he would come home, fully expecting to find an Asian man waiting for him. He'd cast unseen spy and other basic spells in the stair well, mentally prepare himself not to be suprised at the door, go in to find nothing, and scrutinize the three rooms of the apartment for residual spells.
It definitely wasn't helping him get over his paranoia. The flowers stayed in their pitcher though.
