Life is good. Empty Life is good.

Ace stares at his computer screen, feeling the empty spot beside him where Zen has taken to sitting like a hole in his side.

Ugh, don’t get so strung up on this girl, she might just want to use all your computers.

He glances back to the three open doors where his new coterie mates are staying, their music blasting, the rooms each taking on the personality of their occupants. He smiles at the huge collection of bikes over by the garage door opening, hogs, crotch rockets, parts scattered everywhere, wrenches and pieces of motor all over the work benches.

It has been good to have friends again. Especially to see Johann, his buddy from the past, like a ghost coming back to life. He had figured when trying to find the kid that he would be a middle aged business man by now, but not only turned but a Bruja. Hell, life brings you weird shit.

The life in the Haven was awesome, it didn’t feel like a grave yard every night, even though it now had more dead in it than before. He loved hearing pounding punk music, the roar of engines as the boys got their prized bikes running that much better, the sound of the TV and roaring laughter from the couch.

Life was good.
