Davis led Dog deep into the pit and to one of the rooms used to hold the fighters until their match

Leaving the room and the door open he walks to a larger table and sits down, pulling out his phone he placed a call

Davis stands as she walks in and motions to the open door

Ishani smiles. "I am always gentle, Hound Davis."

She enters the room and takes a seat across from Dog. She lays her hand palm up on the table and smiles at him. "Can I have your hand please?"

Dog gives her a curious look and holds out his hand. Remembering the way she went off on O-Dor, he doesn't want to say anything until she asks him to.

Ishani grasps Dog's hand and begins chanting softly under her brerath, invoking her will and the power of Yama.

(Spends 1 Willpower to activate Tongue Twister)

Once she is done chanting, she looks Dog in the eyes. "Now Dog, I am going to ask you some questions and you are going to answer them. You want to tell the truth, and the full truth, or your tongue will tie itself into a knot and it will be very painful for you for at least the next few hours. You will then be unable to speak at all. Do you understand?"

She does not let go of his hand.

"I came to spy on the Kindred here," he said slowly. He wondered if she were serious. Better to not find out. Start things right.

"Who were you spying for and why were you spying for them?"

She meets his eyes and holds them while he speaks. Her face does not show any maliciousness while she does this. There is a hint of sadness in her eyes that he can glimpse. Like she would rather not be here.

"Uh, Red, Blue, Green, and Anthony," Dog replied. He stopped to think. Can't lie. Why? They paid him? No. A little, maybe. He was bored? Well, yes. Why was he bored?

"I did it because I was bored and lonely," he answered. "They paid me, too," he quickly added.

Ishani frowns. "And you think the people here will give you more respect then they did, knowing why you cam here in the first place? Where exactly do your loyalties lie, Dog?"

Dog looked at her as he thought. She used a lot of words in some of her questions. "I think you already have. Loyalties? Myself, I guess?"

Ishani sighs and looks at Davis. "Well he is telling the truth, since he can still talk. I think that's the most disturbing thing to me right now."

She looks back at Dog. "What I need to know is very simple Dog. If I allow you to continue living in this city, I must be absolutely positive that you are loyal to the Prince and His subjects. Otherwise I will have to kick your ass out of town, or kill you. Now, are you loyal to the Prince and His subjects?"

Dog looked upset. "Sheriff, please. Ask me easier questions, that I'm not afraid to try and answer. Will I follow the laws? Yes. Do I want to hurt the Prince? No. Am I loyal to every subject the Prince has? Hell no. What kind of question is that? Are you? Is Davis?"

Dog looked worried at his answer, but if he had said 'no' to just her question, he had a feeling that would be the end of things.

Ishani shakes her head. "I am loyal to the Prince, and yes, all of his subjects. I have to be. It is my job to protect them from threats like you. I need to determine that you are not a threat. So, how about this......are there any more of the plant group in the city?"

"No," Dog shook his head. "Those guys were the only ones I ever saw, and they never met or called any other I saw."

Ishani lets go of Dog's hand and stands. She looks him in the eye with an expression of anger, before the expression melts and is replaced by a large smile.

"You're clear Dog. Welcome to Kindred society. Now I will warn you, if you show any signs at all that you are going to turn on us, I will not hesitate to kill you."

Ishani turns to say something to Davis, then realizes he is no longer there. Shrugging, she looks back to Dog.

"Uh, you need a ride somewhere?"

Dog looked around, confused. So, that was it? "Sure, hmmmm, can you drop me off at Fremont Park?" Where the hell did Davis go?

He really needed to replace his car.

And find a hobby.

Ishani nods and opens her mouth to speak, when the feeling comes over her. She holds herself and shudders suddenly, looking around.

"What the hell was that?"

Then her phone buzzes and she looks at it. Her eyes go wide and she looks up at Dog. "Uh no, we need to go to the Chapter House, now. The Prince dead. So are Davis and Karsh. We need to make sure Shadow is ok. Let's move."

She heads for the door, not waiting for Dog to reply.
