Eva sits in her living room, surveying the empty spot on the wall where the picture Mrs. Scotts took is used to hang, one of her favorites, she is glad it went to a mekhet who could understand it.

Things have changed drastically. The shadows are coming alive, something hunts us that we cannot see, something can kill us, easily apparently, the most powerful of us all. Gone in an instant. But I have found friends here, it is good to have friends here, people who like my art, who want to help me... I am making a home here, this is good.

She sits up, feeling less haunted than usual, looking around the Haven and deciding that perhaps she should make this future showing the most dramatic she has ever presented. She goes to see what she has, and to paint more, to make a cohesive show.
