Hanging Out In Town (Anyone)
Arnold had been hanging around downtown the last few nights, walking the streets, threading through the back alleys. He has no real direction in mind, though he hoped to find the Sheriff out on her patrols one of these nights, he had a question to ask her. Tonight he wore ripped blue jeans and an old Mississippi State University letter jacket marked with the number zero. His head is bare so he can enjoy the feeling of an occasional breeze through his wispy hair.
He smiles at a group of college kids who were walking by, looking like they were out for a night on the town. He nods to them, an odd jerk of the muscles of his neck. The two girls cringed and drew closer to their boyfriends who just stared at Arnold as he walked by, the smile on his gray lips never fading.
Ah, that never gets old.
He finds a spot off of a particularly busy stretch of sidewalk, and has a seat on a set of stairs. He leans forward, arms resting on knees, and relaxes. His body doesn't move, but his brown eyes continue to flicker and follow the traffic on the sidewalk.
