Olivette inspected the merchandise; six identical pieces, made to very exact specifications. The matte black contours seems to absorb the weak light from the bulbs overhead. She nodded to the small brown man, and he grinned, showing her his gold teeth. Gnarled hands gathered up the objects and wrapped them in newspaper, then dumped them unceremoniously into a bag for Olivette.

Taking the bag, she carefully counted out the money. Cash, as agreed. Olivette hoped the exorbitant price would buy the Filipino a shower and new wife-beater. She thanked him, and asked him to make sure he kept spare materiel on hand.

Her long legs and high heels rapped a staccato on the pavement as she made her way back to the limo.
