It took him some time to find his niche, but he filled it admirably.

His contributions were essential. His abilities kept us going.

He floundered a bit, but that's no critique. His knowledge after the fight is what seems to have really made a difference; I'm not sure I'd have thought of that banishment cycle on my own.
