Rhythm of the Night Empty Rhythm of the Night

Martin never did any feeding at the Lily; there was too much chance of something fucking up. He wasn't giong to give Asa a reason to have him removed from his position. The Avalon was another story, however; it was the Rack, it was to be expected. Martin did not yet have a herd--although he had plans for one--so he still found himself coming to this club, even though he hated debasing himself this way.
It was filled with a peculiar energy that Martin noticed every year, in between Spring Break and Final Exams. A ready-for-summer vibe. Students partied heartier, drank even more (if that was possible), and as a result were more likely to find themselves in unsavory situations. Martin found it was absolutely perfect.
Tonight, as an example, he had attached himself as a wingman to a group of guys who were just looking to score. He was a little older than they were, dressed a little formally, and frankly was a bit off-putting--but he had cash, and bought rounds, and was soon treated as a best friend. The girls they were targetting also saw him as a bit weird, but he was a good conversationalist and was genuinely not interested in them for sex, which helped. After an hour of chatting with two of the girls, he used his Words to convince them to leave with him.
The three left Avalon, Martin grinning at the college boy's thumbs-up and wolf-whistles. He grinned not at the prospect of what lay ahead, but in the knowledge that what he was seeking was completely unlike what they were looking for.
Two seemed a bit ambitious, but it had been a while, and he was famished.
