Neighborhood Flood Empty Neighborhood Flood

Central Florida is getting pounded by rain right now. Here are some shots I took of my house and yard today during a lull in the rain. Spoilered because they're large pictures.

View down the street.
Spoiler:
My niece offering some perspective as to how deep the water is
Spoiler:
My neighbors across the street already have water in their house.

My sister's graduation is Friday night. It is suppose to be outside at the stadium...we are all hoping this stuff ends by then. Plus I want to take my little cousins to the beach and this weather is not helping anything.

People always say that, but then the whole season goes by with barely a tropical storm coming to Central Florida. 2004 was 5 years ago now. Maybe our turn's come up again.

Bit of an update. It's still raining and looking like it will continue to rain. My house is fine, structurally, but the drainage systems on my street are backed up meaning I can't shower, flush toilets, etc. I don't know what I'm going to do tonight. Gonna be interesting.
