Tartarus (aka Frosty's Bar) Empty Tartarus (aka Frosty's Bar)

Within some middle class neighborhoods idea of a market place sits a two story high building with an obvious underground basement due to short stairs, it’s neighbors are of a similar type but looking worn down or a bit lack luster, an easy place to miss if you don’t know it’s there. The sign hung out and over the entrance is an old style black polished wood with white name lettering that’s artful icicles. The entrance is on the left front of the building if you were looking at it which leads to a room with tables and large amounts of room on the right while just before you is a long bar with stairs in the back leading up that are also next to what appears to be a kitchen.

A sign not to be missed upon immediately entering in smeared blood brown and neat writing reads:

House Rules
No fighting
Nothing Illegal
Respect the Staff
Respect fellow Patrons

Break the rules and be broken
Frosty

The next thing to usually catch a person’s attention by this point is the solid snow white of the wooden floor and furnishings with a glossy finish and rough natural feel that never seem to stain. Then the black walls come into effect for a sense of having just come into a nightime winter wonderland of a bar.

The downstairs is set up for casual interaction and drinking while allowing enough room for drunks to stagger and fall with little chance of hitting someone on the way down unless right next to them. It is also noticeably bare of almost all modern appliances one finds in a bar/restaurant with lights being the one that made the cut.

The upstairs is much quieter and serene with various artwork adorning the walls and end tables. A number of comfortably padded chairs adorn the room with small tables to help set the atmosphere of intimacy or solitude even from those nearby.
Most days there are a small number of patrons with a skeleton crew while at night the place tends to get fuller with every passing month and the crew never seems to exceed the same six people with Frosty the only variable. While lacking in modern amenities it does not lack for a certain warmth or welcoming atmosphere, with the staff usually knowing everyone that’s come by more than once a month by name and drink. The clientele are overall the truly overworked and miserable low to middle class working men/women with a rare white collar that fits the bill. The upstairs is a small haven for aspiring artists and college kids that have stumbled upon the place but overall it’s gone unnoticed. Bathrooms are located on the ground floor.

There is a back entrance from the floor level and basement level, anyone attempting to go elsewhere, kitchen or stock, are forcibly removed and scolded with repeats banned.
