Mistress Vex

She could always get people to believe her stories, even as a little girl. She knew just when to cry or smile or pout to make others see truth in her wild tales. After her Awakening, Mistress Vex only got better at it. She spent almost four years as an Apostate, sending anyone she thought was pursuing her down endless roads that lead to nowhere. It was easy for her. All she had to do was reach into these people and...twist a little bit. Finally, someone was sent to deal with her, permanently. She panicked and tried to run, only to find herself endlessly walking back into the shop, with the man always slowly approaching, knife in hand. Finally, she fell to the floor weeping, pleading that he spare her life. The man with the cold eyes, approached and leaned in near, "If you wish me to spare your life, then you must give it to me." She agreed. From that day on, the woman she had once been ceased to exist. Only Mistress Vex remained. She has served faithfully for many years now, and is considered one of the finest Epopts to ever join the ranks of the Guardians. Yet she is still always watched by her keeper, Niles Plotski...the man who took her life.
