Staffer Escapes Certain Death!
Printmaster dodges the grim reaper
By Mat Farven, Sacramento Bee

These last couple of days you may have noticed that you didn't get your local paper. We apologize for all of the inconveniences that it caused. We at the editorial staff would like to apologize for this, and issue a formal declaration of what happened, to clear up any rumors that may have been caused.

At 9:30 pm on Thursday, one of our technicians working on the press roller suffered an accident. The support beam of the platform he was standing on over the press buckled, and this caused him to pitch forward into the press. Normally this would not be a problem as the presses don't run when workers are in the room, but the press was suffering a computer error, and so began running almost immediately after he fell in. He managed to roll out of the press just in time, suffering only serious injuries. He was taken by security to the hospital, where he is being treated. The press's computer was found to be malfunction, and was repaired. We pride ourselves on workplace safety, and will be double checking all of our computers at this time. Additionally, if any members of the public wish to comment on any safety issues with the bee, we welcome such discussion, to more improve our ability to respond to our clients and our employees. Thank you
