Sleeping with the (un)Dead

Darren awoke early in the morning and thought it was all a dream. He recalled Aura telling him how she died nearly 90 years ago and was a vampire, highly allergic to the sun and wooden stakes! So, when he came to and saw his beloved in the bed next to him, he smiled and rolled to hug her from behind.

"Aura," he whispered, into her ear. Silence was his reply. Her flesh was as pale and cold as ice and her chest did not rise or fall. She made not a movement. To all intents and purposes, she was a corpse.

"Fuck," Darren exclaims, realizing it was all the truth. He lay next to her for an hour, morbidly watching just in case she moved, even in such a state, she was stunningly attractive and angelic.

"Ok, that's enough, time to get up," he tells himself, forcing his body from the room, shutting the door behind. He then spends the rest of the day out and about the streets of the neighnourhood, doing some window shopping and going for a run until dusk came, where he returned to Aurelie's apartment, hoping she was awake.

Aura is just yawning and stretching as she wakes, looking around for Darren and sitting up, headed for the shower.

As he enters the front door, Darren hears the shower running and is still in a slight state of shock about....well, pretty much everything. Yet, everytime he tries to rationalize or deny it, a tiny part of his brain, an certain honed instinct, told him it was the truth. There was also something else that caused him to believe; a craving deep inside that had started to build, slowly and an obsession for Aurelie he had never felt before.

Still sweaty from his run, Darren heads to the bathroom to meet Mura.

"Bonjour Handsome," she smiles at him through the glass shower door, figuring he might be getting 'hungry'.

He smiles, that craving getting stronger now he was in her presence.

"Evening, beautiful," he smiles, "May I join you?" he asks, a twinkle in his eye.

"I was just getting done, but of course," she smiles, sharing the shower with him as well as playful kisses and nips until they finally get out, at least mostly cleaner and definitely smiling and laughing as they wrap up in towels.

"Are you alright my Darren? You look hungry..."

Darren nods, realizing he was, "Yeah, I am hungry; like a craving, you know? I've eaten a lot today, but still..."

He takes her towel and wipes it down her back, getting the hard to reach places, kissing her back as he does.

"I know what you're hungry for, but I dont know if you're going to like what it is...." she murmurs, turning and kissing him before heading back into the bedroom and tugging on one of his discarded tee-shirts.

"Hey, that's mine," he says, "Would you like it if I wore worn of your designer outfits?"

Smiling, he continues, "What do you mean, I won't like it?"

She grins, "I love smelling like your cologne..."

She bites her lip, "well..."

She bites her finger, letting blood well in the fang mark and holding it out to him, her precious vitae filling the depression.

He looks at the blood, repulsion and desire filling him in equal measure.

"What's this for?" knowing the answer instantly.

"You love..." she murmurs, sitting on the edge of the bed and holding out her hand to him.

He stares at her, the wanting and the needing building to a boiling point. Taking her hand in his own, he places the finger on his lips.

"It's okay love.... It's meant to be... I drink you and you drink me... We're bonded..." she murmurs gently.

Darren lowers his head and takes the finger in his mouth, the iron taste filling his senses and making the craving quiver on the verge of contentment. Fighting back the urge to be sick, Darren starts to suckle at the blood, and is awash with satisfaction.

Desire.

Obsession.

Love.

Aura strokes his strong jaw with her free hand, letting him drink all he wants, having fed well the night before on the way home.

"Good my Darren?" she breathes, kissing his forehead as he drinks.

"Hmmm," he mutters, not wanting to pull away, his hands locking onto her wrist tightly.

She lets him take enough that she can feel the loss before gently kissing her hand free, finding his mouth and satisfying that strong urge in him as well.

"That is enough my heart.... I dont want you to get sick oui?" she murmurs against his mouth.

He hangs his head as tears well up in his eyes, fear and loathing filling him.

"What am I," he whispers.

Her eyes go wide.

"Oh Darren...Non' please dont cry... non..." she breathes, pulling him closer to her.

"I.... I didnt want to ever be without you...I am so sorry... I should not have done this to you," she breathes.

Burying his face into her shoulder so her hair covers his head, he lets it all out, the release blissful and his craving gone. Waiting until his eyes are clear, he looks into her eyes and asks, "Does this make me a.....vampire?"

"No... I wish I could... I wish I could make you mine forever and have you be like me...But I have to get permission first, and that isn't likely...You...you are a... I wish there was a better name...A ghoul, or.. or a thrall..." she breathes, kissing him gently.

"You will not age as long as you have my blood, I can teach you certain things that only vampires would know..." she says gently.

He nods, visibly relieved. "A thrall? Does this mean you're my master or something? Would it be easier if I called you boss," a smirk on his face in a lame attempt to make himself feel better.

"Oh please dont say that I feel so bad already..." she breathes, kissing him gently.

"I dont want to be your master, I want to be your love... The thought of losing you was too much and so I thralled you... Do you hate me ?" she asks.

"No, I don't hate you. If anything, I can't help but think of nothing else but you," he admits, surprised at his own words.

She smiles, kissing him deeper, "good, because all I think of is you as well..."

He takes the kiss, giving into his obsession and rejecting the fear. He wasn't scared of her, just the truth of the situation. He had survived worse news, and knowing that someone as beautiful and loving as Aurelie would help him through it, Darren accepted his new state of existence.

"Wait, never grow older? I am not Peter Pan, am I?" he says, chuckling in betwwen kisses.

"No... As long as you have my blood at least once a month you will never age... And will be more powerful than any mortal..." she murmurs, smiling, glad his mood has lightened.

He nods, not sure what that means.

"So, what do you want to do this fine night?"

"Well... I could teach you how to Awe the people at the club... Or.... we could do whatever you want..." she purrs.

"Well, whatever you want," he replies, tiliting his head, "I'm easy. What do you mean by Awe?"

She laughs, having figured he would pounce her straight into bed.

"Actually... I think it might be better for you to learn to Command... I dont want to do it to you though my Darren, that wouldnt be nice... It allows you to bark a command at someone, and they MUST listen if you succeed. It would be good for you as a bouncer, wouldnt it be nice to just whisper 'Leave.' in someone's ear?" she .smiles

Something rears itself deep inside Darren's soul as if he needs testing.

"Go on, try it," he teases, "I'll resist."

"If you insist," she grins.

"MOVE." she says firmly.

Her voice, so powerful as steel, hits his nerves and makes him start to walk from the room, his legs moving of their own accord.

"Holy shit..." his voice trails off as he wanders away, aimlessly.

"You see? A good one for you to learn my love... Now... Love Me. " she beams, beckoning him back to her with a wide impossibly beautiful smile on her face, quite amused.

Darren turns around and heads straight for her, not sure if she was still using her power or not, but loving it anyway.

Grabbing her under her arms, Darren picks her up and embraces her in a way he has never felt, feeling his emotions as open and raw like never before.

"Oh, you don't have to command me to do that," he purrs.

"Mmmmmm Darren," she purrs, melting against him, "no, I certainly do not, and for that I am very happy indeed."

She loses herself to his immensely pleasureable kisses.

"I will teach you tomorrow night..." she mumbles when he comes up for air, forgetting all else other than the man holding her.
