Eva's flat. (Attn: Silas)

Eva's house is a rather lovely affair with a gated courtyard in front, small, but very Italian in style.

Silas looked at the house, it looked quite nice and he appreciated the style.
"I have to admit, it's not what I expected."

She unlocks the gate and leads him side, every vertical surface hung with paintings, and every horizontal with sculpture. Everything is dark, some are bloody, most involve death, or just plain darkness, they are extra ordinary and as haunting as her sad eyes.

Silas looked around and inspected the paintings and sculptures.
"How very... interesting" He said it not in a tone of voice that suggested a slight disgust, but real interest. "I can see why red is the colour"
Even he realized that sentacne didn't make much sense, but still.

"Thank you Silas..." she sits on her lush couch, "what brings you to Sacramento?"

"Well, I used to live here, but I went away" Silas still stood and inspected the paintings, he was taking note that the girl seemed to have lost her shyness, "But I came back, and here we are, yourself?"

"To paint, needed a less busy city than San Francisco..." she murmurs, letting him wander.

"San Fransico?" Silas looked over towards her and smiled "I've never been, what's it like", He was inspecting one sculpture, trying to figure out what it was.

"Busy, noisy, fun sometimes, but mostly noisy," she smiles.

"That's a skull, thats been crushed into pieces by a million years of weathering..." she comments, pointing to the sculpture.

Silas smiled slightly.
"I hope mine doesn't suffer the same fate" He muttered.
He turned towards his new aquaintance.
"So, why did you invite me here?"

"You wanted to see my art of course, why did you come?" she asks, an almost amused look on her face.

"A cute young lady invited me" Silas shrugged, "But a cute young lady doesn't just invite a man she's just met back to her house." Silas smilied. "At least, not normally."

"Who said I was normal?" she smiles wider at that, hunger getting worse.

"Well, that is a good point" Silas gestured towards the paintings, "Surely normal people wouldn't draw such interesting pictures"
He dramatically put a finger to his chin.
"And another thing, your art, you said you needed muses, but I wouldn't think many people willingly pose for this kind of stuff."
Silas smiled, "Normality has certainly escaped us both"

"Oh... I dont need them to pose, it's all about the atmosphere, the club is the muse, that dark feeling, that feeling of sick litlte minds at work..."

"The world is it's own sick mind noweredays," Silas smile broadened, "We live and breathe sin."

"Very true Mister Silas... Would you like to have a seat?" she asks, hunger screaming in the pit of her belly, but something is telling her that this is not a normal man.

Silas smilied again and he moved over to the couch,
"Why thank you" as he moved to sit, and as he did, every one of this limbs seemed to click again like clockwork.
"And just Silas would be fine."

She tilts her head at the sound...

Something is wrong here, this isnt food... She listens for a heartbeat, turning up her senses.

Sila's heart still beats quite well, only with the occasional, very very faint tick.
"Something wrong?"

"Nothing... Do the cold nights get to you? Your joints seem to be clicking..." she ponders him, head tilted.

Silas' expression shifted slightly, but kept up the smile.
"Something like that yes."
Damn.

"I can turn on the heater if that will help," she offers, trying very very hard to figure him out, this man totally like nothing she has ever met before.

"It would not really matter, I have a strange body system you see"
Silas smiled again, causing his jaw to click with the strain of keeping this expression up.

She narrows her eyes, then relaxes her expression, not wanting to scare him off.

"Strange body system mm?" she asks, "well... if you dont want to elaborate, here is my phone number... In case you ever want to know when my next art shows are..."

"It sounds quite interesting" Silas, "And I can elaborate, but I wouldn't think you'd believe me, and i'd quite prefer to stay out of any doctor's 'care'"
Silas smiled again, trying to seem like he was joking.

"No by all means...Elaborate. As you said, neither of us are normal...Im sure half of this art should get me institutionalized. "

Silas smiled again. "That is a good point." He paused for a second, thinking about what he could do to explain it. He came to a conclusion.
"I'll show you, lock the door." He smiled.

She rises and does so, tilting her head, hoping he doesnt try to murder her or something equally distasteful.

Silas walked over to the door and took a long look at it, then he attempted to walk through it.
Unfortunatly he failed at simply looked stupid in front of the door.
"Damn."

"Uhhhhhh, if you wanted to leave you should...Open.... The door..."

Silas wasn't going to bother trying again.
"Okay, that wasn't meant to happen" He tried to resume as if it hadn't happened.
"But there's something about me, and there's something about you, you constantly talk that you are not normal, and I know sure as hell that i'm not, there's a simple way to prove that, but it will leave me un-protected, so unless you're willing to help me, I can't do it." Silas didn't know what the hell he was doing, or why, but hell, he was going along with it. He must know what he was doing sub-consiously.

"Help you? How?" she looks dubious, hoping he isn't some kind of deviant pervert or something.

Silas sighed, this was going nowhere.
"There are people who would easily come after me, I have something that I can at least defend myself with" His gentleman approach was fading fast. "And if I use it too much to prove something to you, then i'll be open to be taken back, and I don't want that" Silas dropped his smile, showing his serious, "I wouldn't ask anything from a woman, usually they arn't very useful, but I have the feeling that you're differant, you took a complete stranger home after all I did was say I liked artwork, why?"

"Taken back? Ask something of a woman?! Aren't very useful hmm?!" she starts to get a bit pissed.

"No reason. I think you should go, you have insulted me enough." she murmurs, the fire going out of her gaze.

"I may as well" Silas clutched his head, his anger was welling up and there was a very loud click from his joints as he gestured for her to open the door.

"Why dont you just tell me what the hell you are, and then you can go, before you tell me I'm not like most of the useless women again." she almost growls, standing in front of the door.

"Just let me out, there's no point in staying." Silas muttered, "You're just like most women after all." Silas adjusted his clothing.

Her lip curls in a snarl at that.

"And where did you get your degree on what women are like, you are not leaving until you apologize you chauvenist pig."

"I will not apoligize to such a chit of a girl" Silas replied, "Now let me leave."

"And what? I suppose the perfect woman serves to your every whim? Kisses your feet while you eat caviar from a platter on her head?" she growls, getting more and more angry.

"Now now, no call for that" Silas grinned obnoxiously, "Just the serving to whim is enough" Silas was getting angry himself, "Now be a good little girl and open the door!"

"Fuck that, not till you say you are sorry." she snarls.

"I am not apoligizing to some second rate artist with a gothic obessison of pain that she probably knows nothing about!" Roared Silas back at her.

"Second RATE?!" she nearly screams (amazing since the girl rarely raises her voice above a mumble), "how DARE you! How dare you! Why did you come back with me then? Offer to buy me a drink? Women are just toys to you arent they? You were hoping I would fall flat on my back as soon as you walked in the door...You should go, because you are riding my very very last nerve, and I wouldnt want to make a complete ass of you and throw you to the floor, and show you what a girl can really do... Pain? You have no concept of my pain, my pain runs deeper and longer than you could even think, I could fill a fucking library with pain you dont understand." she snarls eyes blazing, her Italian accent getting heavier and heavier. She steps out of the way, absolutely refusing to open the door for him.

"Really now, Reallly now, go on then, indulge me, I apparantly have the time, tell me of all this 'pain'" Silas still wanted the door opened and was refraining from walking out of it using the contract again, but he wanted to save his glamour even in this irrational state. He was still furious but he'd calmed his tone down a bit, but his limbs still clicked now even when not moving.

"My past is none of your business you swine, you are not worth the time of night to tell you a thing about my past, it is above you, you would not understand it, it is obvious to me that you are some sort of oldfashioned, anti-sufferage, piteous little whelp that can't stand it when there is a woman smart enough to stand up for herself around." she says calmly, having gotten control of her voice.

"Now. Get out of my goddamned house."

"You can say that but there is a hell of a little that's above me noweredays, at least you can probably go back home without fear of getting murdered by yourself!" Silas was yelling, but his tone was calmer, and a slight tear ran down his face. "And least you have been living your life the way you wanted!"

"That is not true either, I have not lived my life the way I wanted. I assure you." she murmurs, her gaze wary and confused, not understanding this strange man of many moodswings.

"Well then perhaps you could understand my pain, and I might understand yours somewhat, but it seems we both have a very...interesting secret to keep, and we should refrain from letting it loose." Silas hung his head somewhat.
"We appear to have gotten off on the wrong feet, and it's best I would leave."
He gestured to the still locked door.
