Searching for Riptide (Attn Gwen)

It's still closer to afternoon than evening; as such, the club is just barely, slowly coming to life. You can still talk without yelling, though, which is nice. The bartender is spending more time cleaning glasses and stocking the shelves than he is serving drinks.

The DJ is playing something that sounds like the Shamen, and Jammer isn't anywhere in sight.

Gwenny clucks to herself in frustration.

"Guess not... lemme check with the bartender, I know him pretty well. Maybe he might know Rip?" Gwenny offers hopefully.

"Hey _((NPC name))_. How's it going?"

"What's up, Critical G," he yells over the music.

"Yeah, surfer?" he asks. "He told me once he was staying at the Y by the river, like he was gonna surf on a river, right?" He laughs. He's a bartender, though, he's heard dumber dreams.

However Gwen can imagine it quite easily. How vulgar would that be? Waves on the Sacramento river? She's a little surprised nobody's sent her to have a chat with Rip before.

"Ha, yea. Sounds pretty retarded to me. Maybe he's scared he'll dry out? Hey Vex!"

Gwen turns to her partner for a second.

"You wanna do one shot with me and Ricky before we gotta go? Ricky, let's do... a red-headed slut. Vexie's probably a lightweight."

He slaps the bar, twice. "Money first; I know Jams likes you, but I know how you roll."

Vex looks at Gwen and smiles. "You wouldn't be trying to get me drunk on the job would you? One shot sounds fine. Might take the edge off."Vex takes the shot and then nods to Gwen that its time to leave...not before leaving a ten on the bar. "I've got this one. Next one is on you."

"Heh, thanks. Bottoms Up!"

"Thanks Ricky."
