Returning to the Docks Empty Returning to the Docks

Post by Darksider42 Thu May 07, 2009 12:25 pm

One bus trip and some walking later, Jack found himself back at the city docks. He needed to get everyone back together and find out who ashed Dr. Assan. Spending some time looking around, he managed to spot The Reich and went up the ramp. "Alaric? Where the hell are you?" He called as he reached the deck.

~~Narration~~

Coming up on the ship Jack thinks is the one he is looking for, he realizes that this one is slightly different and not Alarics ship. Looking around he sees that it is the same dock slip, just the wrong ship.

Huh? Could have sworn... "Ugh. Fuck!." He swore as he quickly walked off the boat before he was spotted by anyone, not that the sudden cursing helped much. Taking a moment to calm down, he decided to give the docks a look over. It was possible that he docked somewhere else.

Looking over the docks once more, Jack realizes that Alaric's ship simply is not there. A few times he thinks he spots a boat that could have been it, but when he gets closer he notices the differences and continues his search.

Either Alaric went to a completely different dock, or he has left.

German bastard left. It was really annoying to find a potental ally has skipped town. Now he knows how most kindred feel about him. Repressing his pent up fustration, he turned around and headed towards...Well, somewhere.

As Jack heads away from the docks, movement catches his eye. He sees an old bag woman. Except that she seems to be sailing a skiff in the middle of the night, the only illumination a lantern. She is pulling into the dock, about 3 over from Aleric's boat's place.

Jack was well on his way when he passed some old woman in a skiff. He was pretty sure that was odd, especially since the larger boats would miss or ram into it, if it wasn't for the lantern. Eh, what the hell. She might have spotted Alerics boat leaving. Might as well get a time and date. With that logic, Jack walked over with a smile on his face. "G'day. What are you doing sailing around at this time of night?" He kept he posture relaxed and calm. Last thing he needed was someone mistaking him for a midnight mugger or something like that.

She looks at you, and the lighing gifts her face a gaunt look, her skin is well tanned though. Her hair is greasy and unkempt, and her cloathes look like they would be better served as kindling.
"I am doing my duty desklamp. Your Schnitzel is not here." Her words are without affect, but said as if t hey were coming from far away.

Jack just looked confused for a second before it was replaced by his usual smile.Ok then. She's seen better days. And what the hell does schintizel have to do with anything? "Sorry to annoy you about...That. I'm trying to find a guy that hangs around here. About yay heigh, expensive-looking boat, usually seen with two blond girls. He had a boat docked about three over." He said, raising his hand up to roughtly the height of Aleric's and jerking his head in the direction where his boat should have been. Personally, he just wanted to get his over and down with as quickly as possible. This lady just screamed crazy as far as he could tell.

She sighs. One of those days again. She looks at Jack again and nods. "Schnitzel, German fried chicken."

"Uh, huh..." Some small part of Jack just wanted to slap this woman upside the head and tell her to speak plane english. But he knew he wasn't going to get far with that sort of attitude. "Not familiar with nautical slang dal'. How long is two turns?"

"Two turns." She points up at the sky again, the clouds obscuring whatever she might be indicating. "One short, then a long one. Now on pregnant. He left on Pregnant." The woman looks frustrated that you don't seem to understand her.

Jack stared at the sky for a moment untill he got some idea of what the hell she was saying. "Oh, you mean the moon." The way Jack said it, you would think he was getting fustrated with the fact she wasn't being clear on detail. Well, I can probally figer out how long that was...Assumming I can find someone that knows moon cycles and doesn't speak in some twisted form of metaphore. "Well, thank you for the information dal'."

She gets back in her skiff, and starts boating away.

Jack Shoved his hands into his pockets and turned around, it was about time he left and got back into contact with Reed. I'm begining to wonder if I'll ever find a city that is even remotly stable without the threat of insane kindred, hunters and all the other crazy-as-fuck creatures. At least there were no werewolfs here as far as he could tell. Last thing he needed was getting shredded by them. And with that trail of though done, Jack wandered away from the Docks. He wasn't going to find much else here as far as he could tell.
