Breakfast and a Change of Clothes

As soon as Arnold leaves the abandoned building he uses his blood to fade into invisibility. He trudges through the bad part of town he found himself in until he finds the first viable target in sight - a homeless man pushing a shopping cart full of aluminum cans.

The poor man nearly has a heart attack when Arnold's hideous form suddenly pops into sight before him, grabs him by his ratty t-shirt, and pulls him off his feet - biting into his neck, and drinking hungrily from the forthcoming fount of blood. He nearly drains the man but holds back at the last moment, releasing his grip on the man and letting him fall into a crumpled heap on the deserted sidewalk. He was no longer starving, he would need more blood soon, but he felt decidedly better than he had.

A half hour later finds him at his Haven, a former crack-den that he'd cleaned out, actually not far from where he'd fed on the homeless man. He puts on a change of clothes and tries to relax.

Some time later he would receive Prince Asa's text message and be pleasantly relieved to learn that he had survived. That meant Arnold still held just a little clout in the city, even after the event.
