Starting over.

Leighanne left Washington in quite a rush she packed a single bag and ran stopping during the day in various hotels that had bathrooms with no windows and giving an assumed name at each one always paying in cash she crossed her way across the state and down into California once she was there she decided on Sacramento as the place she would call her new home she reached the boarder and found an unsuspecting hitchhiker to satisfy her urges on letting instinct take over whenever the urge arose or become more than she could bare it had been approximately two weeks since she left Washington and she was running low on courage as she crossed into Sacramento she figured the first thing she should do is to find a place to stay that would accommodate her unusual circumstances until she could find a job to make some money to get a more permanent place of her own that she could fortify against the sun or at least one that maybe had a basement.

She decided that the heart of downtown was a good place to start scouting out her new surroundings plus she felt the need to do something that seemed normal hopefully the hitchhiker had bought her enough time to enjoy her sight seeing and she would not have to let herself go again anytime soon she could still taste the faint coppery flavor on her tongue and it both revolted and excited her at the same time.

Leighanne’s thoughts swirled around in her head of confusion to denial and contemplating meeting the sun the next morning to see if her suspensions were true but if she did that and she was correct in her assumption she would cease to exist and she did not want that until she could determine weather or not she could handle this new life that had been handed to her without her knowledge well at least without her believing it was true anyway.
