To mortal eyes, Derek Noble is a Caucasian man in his late 20s, of average height and slim but athletic build. He has short, wavy brown hair, brown eyes, dark eyebrows, and perfect, white teeth. His most typical facial expressions are a playful smile and an arched brow Anyone spending time around him notes that he has a very expressive and animated face. In fact, ”expressive and animated” is a pretty good general description of Derek, as he is active and energetic, tends to use a lot of gestures when speaking, and has a very engaging, resonant voice. He moves with unusual grace and precision, even when communicating with broad gestures. His posture is straight yet relaxed, never the least bit rigid. Derek dresses in a stylish but slightly flashy manner. At formal functions, his impeccable taste in suits is evident, while his usual workday outfit includes a brightly-colored button-down shirt and a colorful, bold tie; he favors bright blues, greens, yellows, reds and purples. For casual occasions, he tends toward fitted jeans or khakis, boots, colorful silk t-shirts and a light jacket of some sort. Those able to see beyond the Mask notice that Derek’s general appearance shifts somewhat toward the androgynous and his build is a bit more slender. In his true mien, his movements are unnaturally fluid, and bright green sparkles are visible in his dark brown eyes, His complexion is slightly flush and his skin is slightly warm to the touch. Derek's mantle is that of Spring, and consists of a green, sparkling aura, the faint sound of a heart beating fast with passion and the slightest hint of a musky, distinctly sexual scent carried on a light, clean spring breeze.
