Not Quite Right (Attn: Aura)

Darren wakes to find his room cloaked in darkness as the day has passed. Finding it difficult to recall what happened, he just knew he wasn't his usual energetic self. Howver, something had woken him and it was his phone telling him he had a message. With a quivering hand, he reads the text from Aurelie and fires one back.

Her concern causes him to feel guilty about his weakness and when she asks to come over, he readily agrees and, with quite a bit of effort, throws some clothes on to meet her when she arrives.

Ah mon Darren. You are so pale... You must go back to bed, she breathes as he opens the door, immediately wrapping her arms around him.

Did I do this to him? Is my vitae poisoning him? What have I done to my poor Darren.

Darren tries to smile back but it reveals the weakness his body is currently suffering.

"Hey, don't worry, I just need some sun", he replies, a laugh that turns into a wheeze. "Come on, I'll show you my room," he says closing the door.

He takes the stairs painfully slowly, his determination and grit pulling him through the final few steps.

She hooks her arm around him, much stronger than anyone as petit as she should be.

Oh Darren... You are not well at all... she looks very worried, helping him back into bed and sliding in beside him, gently petting his forehead.

"Don't be silly, its me, I'll be back on my feet in no time," he stammers, craddling in her arms, where he kisses her hand.

"Anyway, how was your friend, is everything ok?" he gently asks, not wishing to pry.

Oh she was fine...I am far more worried about you my Darren... she breathes, wondering what the hell to do... was this blood addiction? Did he need more? But that would be three... Damn.. What to do.. She bites her lip, so worried about him she almost doesnt care about the masquerade.

Darren...Is there anything...anything you want? Something that will mkae you feel better? she asks, wondering if he has realized yet that she is feeding him blood.

"No, honey, its just nice having you here, is all." Then groggily indicating his room in an elaboate gesture, he asks, "So, what do you think of my humble abode?".

"Darren...There is nothing nothing at all that you are craving?" she asks, kissing him gently and still gently petting his forehead, plastered to his side.

Darren looks at her in a similar manner to a puppy trying to understand its master, his eyes glazing from tiredness.

"I'm not sure. I just want you," he says, nuzzling his head back into her chest, averting his eyes, worried he will scare her off with his next statement.

"I think....I feel like I'm falling for you, Aura, and it hurts to be away. I love you, I know it," he confesses, finally.

Ah... Darren... It's okay.. I feel the same way, that is why it pains me to see you so sick... she murmurs softly, holding him a little tighter.

Darren melts into her arms, never wanting to let her go.

"I never got to tell you that everything was perfect the other night," he admits, "but I didn't want to rush into anything if you feel too pressured."

She kisses him gently, totally amazed that he doesnt wonder anything about her.

"It was perfect...I do not feel pressured, dont worry..." she murmurs, gently rubbing his shoulders.

Darren suddenly opens his eyes and looks at Aura.

"Does this mean I'm your boyfriend?" he asks, smiling.

She casts him one of those hauntingly lovely smiles, wide and lovely, the girl forgetting to hide the points of her fangs just a little.

Of course it does my Darren I would be very sad if it did not," she murmurs, her lilting french accent caressing his name.

"Its the best thing to happen to me," he says, utter devotion in his voice. "Which brings me to ask; Would you like to come out for dinner with me when I'm up and moving again?"

She bites her lip.

Oh... I would love to... But I dont eat very much at night... I have to keep my figure... she smiles and kisses him gently.

Darren pushes himself up to looka at her face, not letting her dodge anything else, a mask of seriousness creeping into his blue eyes.

"Well, how 'bout lunch then?"

I... My clock is all set to work at night, I usually sleep during the day, she murmurs, biting her lip, apparently not a good liar.

"Breakfast? Elevenses? A midnight banquet?" Darren replies, sarcasm entering his voice.

Please Darren...Lets talk about what made you sick... she murmurs gently.

"Fine, you win," he declares raising his hands in defeat. "But promise you'll tell me the truth, please. I don't like being lied to."

Leaning across her, Darren removes himself from the bed, and strips naked. "I'm just gonna take a shower to get the sweat off my body. Will you be here when I come out?" he asks, a little too bluntly.

She looks hurt and very lonely lying there in his bed.

She feels terrible but meets his blue gaze with her own.

Darren...You love me, so we dont need to talk about this, I am not lying to you.

Darren finally seems to give in and movs towards her, embracing her in his arms.

"I'm sorry, Aura. I do trust you and I'll never question you again."

Im not mad mon'amor...J't'aime... she murmurs, feeling absolutely terrible, and already thinking of ways to break her 'undead-ness' to him.

"I'm glad," Darren replies, all thought of her trust gone from his mind. "I was worrying you might of used some of those dirty boxing tricks on me." His laugh seems to lift his spirit as he hugs her.

"Would you like me to stay tonight until you fall asleep? I should probably go back to my friends house before morning so she doesnt worry about me... "

"Yes please, that would make me feel alot better. Sorry, I'm not being that exciting tonight am I? I don't know what came over me," he says, sighing and sad that he couldn't make love again.
"I got back from yours, had a little sleep and then went for a run. When I got back, I was about to help with lunch and I came over all weak and queasy. I reckon it was just exhuastion."

She bites her lip, quite sure he is having blood withdrawls.

There's nothing you think might make you feel better?" she asks, tilting her head to watch him appreciatively as he tugs on a towel.

"Well, one of your deep kisses will be nice," a smirk touching his lips with hope in his blue eyes.

Does he mean vitae and doesn't know it? Would he feel better if I gave him some?

She smiles, pushing him back onto his bed, and petting over his chest still slick from the shower as she gives him tiny little kisses.

We will see how needy he gets... his subconscious has to know.. right?

Darren doesn't resist, lying back on the and pulls Aura on top of him so she's straddling his torso. As she teases him with the petite kisses, he runs his fingers through her blonde hair to her neck where he caresses her shoulders, his wandering hands slipping beneath the fabric of her top.

She lets him peel it off, hot pink lace greeting him when her shirt is gone.

She kisses him deeper, biting her tongue, feeling his hunger and need.

Darren unknowingly but instinctivly takes the kiss and suckles at her tongue, allowing the blood of his love trickle down his throat, its taste subconsciously taking over his senses and his body, making him something more than mortal.

Ah Darren... Do you feel better? she asks, still kissing him, only talking when she is letting him come up for air.

"Yes," he murmurs, somewhere between devotion and pleasure.

Good... Are you going to come stay with me at the apartment soon? I had a punching bag installed for you ... she breathes between kisses, holding up a conversation becoming more difficult.

"Yes," he replies, his eyes locking with hers as he searches for her tongue.

"Mmmmmm Darren your kisses..." she breathes, melting into him, their connection deep.

"I'll pack my things tonight," he whispers, filling more alive than he has before.

"After you have loved me...." she breathes, kissing him deeply and desperately, tearing away the towel he has wrapped around his hips and twining with him until they are both at least... somewhat... sated.
