Jayant chuckles at her response, unfazed by her comments. "I'm sorry if that does not find favour with you, madame, I meant no disrespect. Yes, I am Crone, as you put it, and if that makes me a slave, then I must be that too." He smiles to her as she loses all interest in him.

Bella turns and looks at him. "No offense taken. Although, with times as they are and us a dying breed, I will offer any assistence to you that you may need at any time. Slave or not, I do not want to see any harm befall another of my kind."

She steps forward and offers her hand. "Deal?"

Then, she gets into her sweet car and drives back to the church.
