Olivette waits in the lobby to escort members to the meeting room.

Alder Lady Lioni Dupree, Au Pair of the First Estate, Esteemed Member of House Millarr, Madame Lady Whip Jane Scotts, and Mister Asa Clarke, Priscus of the Esteemed Ventrue, are in attendance.

Martin arrives at the Clare a few minutes before eleven, and makes small talk with Olivette as she shows him where the meeting is. He bows to those in attendance, and takes a seat.

Lioni nods. "Thank you Lady Whip, I appreciate it. It seems our covenent has taken a blow. I have had a request to join the ocvenent that I wish to discuss with all of you once we are all here."

Ishani enters the room frowning. "Sorry I'm late." She mumbles. "Been a bit busy."

Asa smiled encouragingly at Ishani and gave her an understanding nod, knowing that she'd just lost a Prince and Hound she'd worked with for thirty years.

"I'm under the impression that this will be all that attend," he said to everyone. "Alder Baron Senator Quinton Jones is missing, and his Childe, Miss Antoinette Coeur de Lion, is attending to personal affairs."

"Alder Lady Lioni Dupree, Au Pair of the First Estate, Esteemed Member of House Millarr, Madame Lady Whip Scotts, Mr. Martin Carpenter, Reeve Ishani Naetesh, thank you for coming. Shall we begin?

Everyone here is aware of what has transpired, and we all mourn the loss of Alder Baron Judex Icarus, Priscus of the Mekhet, Esteemed Member of House Millarr, and Alder Viscount Brandon Davis, Priscus of the Esteemed Gangrel, Soldier of the First Estate, Esteemed Member of House Millarr, Hound to Prince Freddrick of the City of Sacramento, both as a blow to the Covenant and to the House Millarr," he said with a bow to Lioni.

"If it's not too presumptuous, I would suggest the first order of business to be selecting a head for the Covenant," he said, looking at Lioni, the senior-most member present.

Lioni nods. "I suppose I will take that responsability as I am the highest ranking here and I do not think anyone else has the experience. As that is settled, the new Prince's Hound Elle has requested to join our ranks. I wish to get everyone's view of her before I consider this request."

She looks around to all assembled, waiting to see who will speak first.

Arnold finds himself late as he arrives at the Clare. He introduces himself to Olivette who leads him to the meeting. When he arrives he bows low to all assembled.

"Forgive my tardiness, I'm Mister Arnold Culler, Former Archon of Jackson."

He holds the bow until addressed.

Lioni smiles. "Mister Culler, we are glad to have you. Please have a seat. I will assume you are aware of what has transpired in the city these last new nights?"

Mrs. Scotts is about to speak her mind about Elle when this hideous thing enters and speaks something about an archon. Mrs. Scotts is for once flabbergasted, and stills her tongue.

Arnold straightens and quickly takes a seat, not wanting to disrupt the meeting further than his sudden horrifying appearance already had. He says, simply; "A friend called me and filled me in as to the basics."

Lioni once again looks at all those assembled.

Let no one say that Mrs. Scotts can ignore elephants in the room.

She stands. "I approve of the inclusion of miss Moraine into our circle. She is the Hound of the city, and we did very well when such a hound was among us in the past. Alder Viscount Davis liked her, and I would not be surprised if he was grooming her for joining our group."

"She's young," Asa said, "and needs to learn self discipline. I think she could, with guidance." He didn't think the obvious needed to be said about the positions she held, or that other Covenants would be courting her favor. "I also think she's the type that needs to belong; belonging to those closest to the former Hound might go far to instill a sense of duty."

Asa looked at the rest; other than Ishani and Scotts, he didn't know if the others knew Elle.

"I have not had the good fortune to meet the Hound," says Martin. "However, if Hound Davis approved of her, I see no reason I should not."

Ishani frowns. "She hasn't proved how useful she will be in her new position yet, but I think Asa may be right. If we accept her into the covenent, it may be enough to give her some direction. It may bring about her sense of duty and help her to find where she stands within the city."

Lioni frowns as she listens to all the opinions. "Really? I completely disagree. I think she is brash, irrational, and has no self discipline what-so-ever. I think if she wants to be Invictus, then she should go through the entirity of the initiation and proove that she truly can be Invictus material. Getting a title because you were sleeping with the Prince's Hound does not make you qualified to take the position."

Mrs. Scotts did not sigh, nor did her voice change. "Your pardon, Alder Lady Dupri, of the Esteemed house of Millar. However, I still believe that she can be of benefit to this organization. I agree though, she is untested. What would you propose as proper initiation to test her?"

Asa nodded slightly. He'd done as he said he would for Elle, at this point he wasn't going to disagree with Lioni and jeopardize his own standing.

Lioni looks at Miss Scotts. "I believe she must have a period of being a Page before she can become a full member of the covenent. Now, what she will need is a sponser or surrogate sire. Since you seem so intent on her joining us, would you be willing to take her on as a "childe" Miss Scotts?"

"It would be my honor, Lady Dupri, to sponsor her. I beleive she holds great promise. And hear me, all who stand here, that if she proves to be ineffective, I shall stand here again, and beg this most wise council for punishment for my failure." She bows her head, and then sits down.

Lioni nods. "Very well Madam Lady Whip Scotts, if that is your choice then it will be up to you to see to her training."

She turns to the rest of the group. "Is there anything else that needs to be brought forth?"

Asa watched the exchange with a bit of surprise. Elle must have impressed Scotts quite a bit during the Gardener's confrontation.

"It's probably nothing, since Mr. Charles Black didn't appear at Court and hasn't been seen since, but apparently he was telling his Clan all about his Covenant," Asa said.

He had originally intended to speak to Davis about this --in fact, had been waiting on a response from him when Lioni had messaged him.

Martin pauses a moment; admitting weakness to this bunch would be like dripping blood into a shark tank. But there was no avoiding the question. "I regret to say I have yet to develop such ability."

"I'm not sure that it needs to be dealt with, considering recent events," Asa said. "The most significant Daeva is the Prince's Harpy."

He knew that most might think he didn't agree with Lioni's suggestion because of that person's Status and Position; he was pretty sure Lioni would understand it was because of who the Harpy was.

Lioni looks at Asa and shrugs. "It matters little to me. I doubt anyone would believe a word that came out of that idiot's mouth anyway. I would like to inform you all that we have "willworkers" in the city and I was approached by one of them earlier this evening. Apparently Davis had one working for him at Avalon. I would prefer it if he retained his job for the time being. He has also told me that his community felt the strange sense of dread like we did. So, apparently this feeling swept through the entirity of the city and was not exclusive to us. I do not know what this means for us, but I do want it known that as of right now, the Invictus have an alliance with the willworkers and no one is to screw with them in any way."

Lioni smiles. "Understandable, I had no idea what it was either. Apparently willworkers are those that have the ability to manipulate magic. I think it may be similer to our own kindred powers, but I am not one hundred percent certain."

Martin shifts position in his chair, not adding to the conversation; in reality the change in posture was to hide the fact that he perked up at the mention of willworking and magic. Although the expression on his face borders on boredom, he listens raptly.

Arnold, too, has nothing to add. A wicked muscle spasm goes through his neck and arm, and he jerks oddly while he's sitting there listening attentively. He'd heard there had been willworkers in Jackson, but he'd never met one.

Lioni shakes her head. "At this point I do not know. He did not give me any of that kind of information. Just told me he wanted to open the lines of communication between the Kindred and the willworkers."

It was fairly obvious that if this willworker stayed at Avalon, he would probably be his primary point of contact. It made him a bit nervous; not knowing what this man could do, or if his motives were as stated -- but between his new affiliation with Avalon, and being a Deputy, was there a better option?

Mrs. Scotts realizes her mistake. "My most sincere apologies, most forgiving Alder Lady Advisor Dupri, of the House of Millar. I must not have been paying attention. Please forgive my lapse of attentiveness, it shall not happen again." Mrs Scotts bows her head.

Lioni waves it away as if it were nothing more then a common mistake. "Oh no bother at all dear, everyone is having a hard time adjusting to the sudden demise of so many. It is quite understandable. Well, as there is nothing further, I will declare this meeting concluded and allow you all to get back to your business. I am sure most of you have very pressing matters to attend to. Please inform me if anything else turns up and I will go and tell the Harpy of our decisions. Thank you all so much for coming."

She stands and begins to ready herself to leave.

Asa smiles the smile only the Sheriff gets and nods. He stands and bows to to Lioni, "Please call me if you need anything," he lets her know before he also departs.
