Aura and Darrens

Aura wakes, spending several hours of quality time with Darren until it is time to get ready to go to court. She showers while he is eating and heads to her closet to find something demure and appropriate.

Halfway through a platefull of dinner, Darren beams at her appearance and winks.

"Are you okay about the court? Its quite a big thing, right?"

"Its a huge deal.. Wish you could go with me... But maybe this prince will be more open to our idea..." she smiles, sitting at the table and combing her long hair.

He nods, understanding what she wants to do to him.

"Well, you be careful tonight, deal?"

"Always, and I want to focus on training, I want to be a very good fighter in these dark times..." she murmurs, kissing his shoulde, then rising to go put on her makeup while they still talk.

Getting up and following her, "Your skills are coming along nicely enough," he comments, "But there's always more I can show you."

"Good. I want to be very very dangerous," she beams.

"I'm sure you do," he laughs, bringing his hands up in mock defeat. "Hell, you'll be better than me soon, I'm sure." Compassion and a desire to teach Aura is all Darren is concerned with, an eternal worry for her safety at the forefront of his mind.

"So... I have a thousand dollars in cash sitting there for you, its the interest from my savings account, I think you should go give it to Miss Claire tonight while I'm gone..." she says, knowing how much he cares for the woman.

"I know she won't accept it, she's very proud about that." He sighs, thinking how he just up and left, a small measure of guilt still apparent.

"Then go take the money and buy gym equipment for the boys, she wont refuse that..." she murmurs.

"Ok, you win," he says, sighing, his own pride rising slightly.

"I'll pop round later. The guys might by about, it'll be good to catch up."

"Darren, you have guilt surrounding that... I am not trying to tell you what to do, it just needs to be fixed..." she says.

He nods, understanding completely.

"I better get changed then," he comments, looking at his sweaty training clothes. Sniffing under his arms, he adds, "and take a shower first."

She laughs, kissing him goodbye and heading out into the night, feeling much more secure than usual as she heads to the very important court.
