Ghoster jumps down... and finds the three zombies that assaulted Valkyrie's car waiting for him.

Ollie calls out to his friends in the dark.

"This way! Come on! Valkyrie, let's go!"

Meanwhile his hands begin forming the motions that will improve his timing, hopefully offsetting the strange sluggishness he's felt in all his actions ever since that strange ringing. Though remembering the exact mudra is difficult with his disability he still manages to pull it off.

~~Narration~~

Hands reach out and claw at Ghoster as he moves past them, and he winces as he feels a fresh gash in his side opened up. He wonders how much blood he has left in him.

The figures approaching Valkyrie collapse like dominoes as one falls, then another, and they all go down in a tangle of bodies. There's still two on their feet, though, and they're very close.

Valkyrie lets out a little squeek of terror as her footing slips...

Another figure comes over the top of the bleachers, crashing to the ground in a heap.

Ollie begins to move to help Ghoster, but his footing finally fails him. He slips to the ground with a splash. He looks up from the soaked asphalt, hoping Ghoster can get to his feet and get away, despite the creatures closing on him.

The three figures converge on the fallen Ghoster.

One slips as it reaches out.

One slashes at his legs and misses.

One tears his throat open.

Valkyrie watches the crimson flow of Ghoster's life stain the water he's laying in, and realizes he's not going to be getting back up under his own power.

She watches his chest rise and fall, knowing he's still alive, deciding what to do...

There arent any good options.

Well, there are, but she's not going to follow them if the only good ones mean abandoning these guys.

She needed a miracle.

I'm a wizard, right? I'm a necromancer, right? I can do this...

She tries something, something that in any other situation would have worked supringly well for someone only a day and a half into this brave new world. She called up the night as a shield. As it bubbled over Ghoster, it turned out to not be enough. Enough to cover him, but not enough to protect him.

She didn't know if not being able to see what was going to happen next was a blessing or a curse...

Ollie watches the undead hordes piling over the bleachers. Val kneeling by Ghoster, attempting a bit of magic, but it won't be enough. The creatures draw closer, their claws and teeth stained red with the blood of his friends.

It's all to much.

Ollie scrambles to his feet. He turns his back on the scene at the bleachers. He runs away.

~~Narration~~

As Valkyrie pulls the shadows over Ghoster, the rotted brains of the undead stumble in confusion, not understanding what's happened. Some try to touch it, some try to reach out to Valkyrie, and the ensuing clusterfuck of undead fall down, or swing ineffectively.

Valkyrie tries to turn to see where Ollie is, but the slick ground causes her to fall.

The rain beating down on her, the inch of water she lies in, and the jagged nails that come oh so close to her face are only peripherally noticed, as she looks up...

...and sees Ollie disappear into the night.

She's alone.

As Valkyrie climbs to her feet, she hears the scraping and splashing of others climbing to their feet, as well. A groping hand grazes her, but doesn't have enough force behind it to do any damage.

Val reaches into the darkness, grabbing Ghoster and dragging him towards her car. Faith isn't her strong point, but she hopes as hard as she can that they all fall down to give her some time.

Val continues praying as she gets to her car. She gets the door open and Ghoster's unconscious body shoved in there like a sack of bloody potatoes wrapped in darkness. She slams the door as she looks around for the best way into the drivers seat.

Nails continue to tear at Valkyrie as she stuffs Ghoster into the passenger side of the car. It's pretty easy sliding him across the slip&slide of blood that the seat's become.

Blood loss is starting to get to Val as she runs around to the driver's side of the bug and gets in. She digs in her pocket for her keys, heart racing.

Valkyrie jumps in the car, listening to dull thuds on the sides; then the car shifts in accompaniment to a loud thump sound. Shadows around her darken as fallen figures rise and approach the car.

Val's one cool cucumber. She really is. She's starting to crack up though, just a little. The engine turns over and she starts accelerating out of the parking lot. It's hard to keep control, and the ride is extremely bumpy on the three shredded tires. She needed to get to a hospital.

And if she came across Ollie on the way...

She didn't know what she would do.

Val, through sheer dint of will, keeps control of the car as she flees the damned skate park. She cosults her mental map of the city, realising that the nearest emergency room is at least 5 minutes away.

Damn! Damn! Damn! He's bleeding out and she can't risk taking the time to check him over to see if that's going to be too late for him. She's so tired. Cold too, blood loss is making things fuzzy...

Things aren't looking good right now. Valkyrie can smell the blood, there's so much of it pooling in the car.

At least she's a paramedic, and has supplies in the car. It's dark, though, and working on someone in a car seat isn't ideal... and she has to get her supplies.

(( This is it guys, the moment of truth. Valkyrie needs 7 successes to stabilize Ghoster, and has two rolls to get 'er done before he dies in her arms. Equipment bonuses negated by poor conditions. Let's see what happens. ))

Val grabs the crash kit that Guy... The crash kit that Guy had opened, pulling out the meager medical supplies that were there. She goes to work as fast as she dares, the bandages covering the savage trauma inflicted by the dead...

Valkyrie is so tired.

She's covered in blood, some of it is her's but most of it is Ghoster's.

She's alone, everyone she knows that might be able to do anything is either dead, gone or out of her ability to contact.

She doesn't know what to do...
